Gateway Analytical Receives ISO 17025:2005 Accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation

PITTSBURGH, PA – Gateway Analytical announced today that the company received its 17025:2005 accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). This accreditation is another illustration of Gateway’s commitment to quality and technical expertise, and focuses on material science and industrial forensics laboratory testing.

A2LA is a nonprofit organization providing comprehensive services in laboratory accreditation and laboratory-related training. Their laboratory accreditation is based on internationally accepted criteria for competence (ISO/IEC 17025:2005).

“We are very proud to receive accreditation from A2LA, whom we consider to be the gold-standard laboratory auditing body,” said David Exline, Senior Vice President at Gateway Analytical. “It demonstrates the level of commitment we have to ensuring the quality of our testing services and management systems.”

Under this accreditation, Gateway Analytical is now accredited to:

  • Characterize unknown materials using a variety of technologies such as Raman, FTIR, SEM/EDS, PLM, Optical Microscopy and Fluorescence Microscopy.
  • Perform particle sizing, chemical characterization and spatial distribution of various formulations using Raman, Fluorescence and NIR.

In addition to ISO 17025:2005, Gateway Analytical is accredited to:

  • ISO 9001:2008 (UL-DQS)
  • ASCLD/LAB-International

Gateway Analytical is also a cGMP (21 CFR 211) compliant laboratory testing facility.
