Gateway Analytical Receives Controlled Substance Registration Certificate from the Drug Enforcement Administration

Gateway Analytical is proud to announce that we have obtained our Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration’s Office of Diversion Control.

As referenced on the website of the Office of Diversion Control, “the most current list of controlled substances can be found in Section 1308 of the most recent issue of Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1300 to end (21 CFR §1308) and the final rules which were published in the Federal Register subsequent to the issuance of the CFR.” [1]  In accordance with our newly-obtained certificate, Gateway Analytical is licensed to accept items registered with the following scheduling:

  • Schedule 3
  • Schedule 3N
  • Schedule 4
  • Schedule 5

We are now able to extend our pharmaceutical forensic capabilities to offer more services to our pharmaceutical customers who might otherwise have an issue involving controlled substances.  This is a significant accomplishment for Gateway Analytical as we can now accept pharmaceutical products which were otherwise off-limits due to their drug scheduling.

If you have any questions regarding the analysis of scheduled drug products, or would like to inquire as to the services we offer, please feel free to contact us at Gateway Analytical for more information.
